Technical Sales Engineer – Subsea Oil & Gas
We are seeking a goal-oriented, technically proficient Salesperson to join our team, specializing in subsea monitoring solutions.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic hunter—capable of identifying and approaching new customers, structuring sales data for insight-driven decisions, and scaling the sales funnel to support long-term growth.
This role combines technical understanding of Subsea Engineering with a strong commercial acumen to develop client relationships, knowledge about the market and position our company’s subsea solutions were it is relevant.
The successful candidate will act as the key interface between clients, and the monitoring solutions team to deliver monitoring solutions that meet client needs while driving sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and engage new customers for monitoring solutions in offshore energy, renewables, and marine sectors.
- Develop and execute sales campaigns together with marketing tailored for specific monitoring services
- Assess and qualify leads based on technical fit, commercial potential, and strategic alignment.
- Structure and analyze sales data using tools like Power BI, Excel, and CRM systems to drive decisions and optimize performance.
- Expand and manage the sales funnel, ensuring consistent lead generation, qualification, and conversion.
- Set and pursue clear sales targets, with a strong focus on achieving and exceeding goals.
- Drive accountability within the business unit to meet or exceed sales targets, ensuring consistent effort towards closing opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3-7 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in subsea sensor technology or similar.
- Proven ability to build, qualify, and scale a sales pipeline in international markets.
- Proficiency in digital tools to structure the sales process, such as Power BI, and CRM platforms.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally and work across time zones.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field.
Preferred Skills
- Existing network in offshore oil & gas and renewables in target regions.
- Multilingual (Portuguese, French, or Norwegian is a plus).
- Experience with long sales cycles and complex technical solutions.
- Familiarity with regional regulatory and operational environments.
