We are seeking a highly practical, skilled, and experienced engineer with experience and passion for instrumentation, mechatronics or electronics – or from similar fields. As a key member of our team, you will draw conceptual sketches and design drawings echoing project interfaces and specifications, in addition to being responsible for deliveries throughout the production- and test phases. The role reports to Engineering Manager. Below are some more details about the role. Can this be the role for you?
What responsibilities are within the role:
- Collaborate with internal and external project interfaces which include sub-supplier and project engineering colleagues.
- Prepare conceptual sketches and design drawings, based on input from relevant interfaces and specifications.
- Prepare necessary sales documentation in quotation phases.
- Drive technical aspects of project work, services and development related to monitoring of flexible pipes, cables, dynamic risers, and structures within the oil, gas, drilling and wind industry.
- Coordinate project delivery from client interfaces, design development, procurement, fabrication, assembly and testing.
- Ensure quality of delivered technical work according to project specification.
What we appreciate of qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, mechatronics or electronics engineering or other relevant fields.
- Relevant work experience may compensate for formal education.
- Documented practical experience of project work within oil & gas-/ the energy sector.
- Insights into mechanical products containing electronics, instrumentation or similar equipment.
- Documented experience from machine design including reading and producing technical documentation.
- Clear communicator – oral and written – in both English and Norwegian
